This week marked a major milestone on our Woodside remodel as we moved from coping installation into the new decking phase. After completing excavation adjustments and base prep, we installed and compacted the subgrade, followed by rebar reinforcement and boning wire to ensure proper slab stability and clean control joint placement. With the forms set and layout confirmed, our crew poured and finished the new sand-washed concrete decking, creating a refined architectural surface that ties seamlessly into the pool’s modern design.
The sand-washed finish offers the perfect balance of texture, elegance, and slip resistance — a premium detail that complements the custom coping and elevated aesthetic of this project. As the decking cures, we’ll begin transitioning into the remaining hardscape areas and prepare for final interior finish work inside the pool.
